The concrete trucks were here again today to pour the garage and back patio/sidewalk. The house and front porch were poured last week while we were out of town. Because we have hydronic heat, we opted to do a slab foundation. This means all of the initial plumbing had to be done up front as well as the running of the hydronic tubing and some electrical outlets that will be in the floor. It's been a long process - especially with the record amounts of rain we have been having this month. But, so far it is looking good. Let's just hope we put that toilet in the right place!
We decided to dye the concrete in the house and score it in a decorative diagonal pattern since it will be our finished surface. I am excited about the color. It is a charcoal gray looking color and I think it will look nice when it is all polished up.
